International Strategic Communications

I had the privilege of embarking on a transformative study abroad experience in Paris, France, where I participated in an International Strategic Communications class offered by the University of Colorado Boulder. This class sheds light on cultural dimensions and the unique approaches adopted by brands to resonate with their target audiences in specific countries.
Throughout this educational month, we had the incredible opportunity to visit eight distinguished Advertising, PR, and full-service agencies across Amsterdam, Paris, and the South of France. These visits provided invaluable insights into the operational dynamics and distinctive practices employed by these agencies, allowing us to draw insightful comparisons with the industry in the United States.

In retrospect, this remarkable journey has given me a profound understanding of diverse cultures and the importance of embracing and comprehending different cultural values. Such global perspectives are essential in encouraging a more worldly outlook within the professional realm.

To guide you through the projects below we will start with our Volcom brand analysis in Paris. My group went to a Volcom store in Paris and analyzed how the store is different than the U.S. Volcom stores through cultural dimensions. Next, you will see a presentation about the Boulangerie Rainette. In this project, we analyzed a bakery in Paris and then presented how we could bring the Bakery to the United States, specifically in Boulder, Colorado. Lastly, you will see a presentation about the Centre Pompidou in Paris, France. We strategized and created a new immersive exhibit idea to attract Gen-Z to Centre Pompidou.

During the summer of 2023, I actively participated in a nationwide advertising initiative for EŌS Fitness, under the guidence of the full-service agency, RIESTER, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Within this position, I used my skills in copywriting, storytelling, branding, and art direction to enhance the campaign's effectiveness. Additionally, I collaborated closely with senior colleagues to ensure the seamless execution of the project's objectives. Look below for some of the campaign highlights.
